Front-End Web Developer

Job Description

CXPORTAL is currently looking for a Front-End Web Developer to join our development team on a permanent basis. The Ideal candidate should have solid experience with JavaScript, HTML and CSS coupled with an understanding of typical E-commerce features and user behaviours. You will be working within a fast-moving industry and will be directly involved in delivering cutting edge software for a variety of devices, technologies and clients. A key feature of this role is the ability to problem solve, you will be responsible for identifying best practice and optimising solutions through both our CMS and our testing platform.

Technical Skills:

• Creation of new sites from the ground up and Involvement in native app development.
• API integration, cloud-based computing and a variety of other projects.
• Proven knowledge of Vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, CSS is essential
• WCAG accessibility guidelines and strong understanding of user interface/user interaction design.
• Proven experience in mobile first responsive web design and comfortable working within fast moving Industry
• Strong ability to understand user analytics and interpret into new experiences.
• Good knowledge and understanding of market trends and innovations
• Outstanding communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Be familiar with Agile software development, working as part of a team to deliver against sprint goals.
• Be comfortable liaising with project stockholders and demonstrating completed work.

Required Skills

• Create and develop templates for new landing pages/site components
• Be comfortable using Vanilla JavaScript to manipulate the DOM
• Working alongside our UX team to understand the testing roadmap and prioritisation of tests.
• Create variations of user experiences to test and understand how best to optimise the websites for our shoppers.
• Translating Front End functional spec and working closely with the product team.
• Use insights to inform the evolution of each variation through iterative design and development.

Additional Skills

• Experience in delivery projects using Agile and hybrid best practice methodologies.
• Good communication skills to explain complex technical problems in a simple manner.
• Good problem-solving skills, Attention to details and Collaboration Teamwork.
• REACT experience (Next.js, Gatsby)
• Knowledge of MVT/AB testing platforms preferred
• GIT experience
